minds .

let see ! its APRIL, and everybody knows what it means anyway, speak of the devil ! i only have at least 2 months to stay in the US.
so many things happened for the last 9 months, my extreme life changing, my adorable experience, my mentoring time and all of the stuffs i've been passed through.
it feels a bit strange by the way, the way im thinking and seeing things now, the way i treat people people around me, the different way of mine showing and improving my personality and my intellectual.
back there, 9 months ago i was only a second chief of student council, a noisy daughter, an lower- level actress, a member of english club, an adventurer and only a piece of dust of all over this world.
i've never imagined and i didnt want to, that i could be in this point, being far away from my home land, family, and friends.
of course it suppose to be cool for an Indonesia kid like me to be such a qualified and selected by an international scholarship program to represent the face of Indonesia on the US. the strongest nation which wasnt interested me at all to stay at.
but yeah, this is why im called my self a human, because i never know where my path would lead me away.
before i came to the US, i had a goal to come abroad and see the different part of the world, its piece of cake for my dream to travel around the world and help every single needy that i could possibly find.
but i was wrong with all of my thought back day, this year isnt only a piece of cake, this is a big jump for me to reach what i want in life.
its the time for me to build the tower that i suppose to finish before i lose my very end breath.
and now, im ended to be proud, even i couldnt do any big things for people since i've been here, but i know this one year wont be a trash from me.
i believe that this opportunity will lead me to the next harder step that i have to take it.
but im not afraid, im confident enough to face the upcoming stuffs, i know i have to take rest sometimes, but this time, i dont really need it, what i ought to do is keep running to that very blur point to see whats engraved on that point, because if im able to see it, my jo is just done.

sunday march 28, 2010
kemarin nya abis liat kite festival aka festival layangan di smithsonian. gue sama nate sabtu malem nginep di rumah liason nya nate. mggu pagi, i mean MORNING, lagi pada masi ngantuk2 gtuh qta brangkat ke union station.abis ngguin smua orang, qta cabut ke bandara di Baltimore, MD. well, there's nothin special actually before flight. tapi 1 dhe yang gue ngga abis pikir, domestic flight di US is really bad ! masa pas landing and take off, turbulensi na thu kenceng banget, kalah jauh sama garuda indonesia iang mlus2 jah klo mau landing. then, in the afternoon, nyampe juga khir nya di new orleans ! hal pertama yang gue ucapin pas nyampe di bandara 'ini gue masi di amrik ?', wanna know why i said that ? its because NOLA (new orleans) bner2 beda banget sama DC ! overall , gue malah nyangka klo gue dah balik ke indo lagi ! masalah nya, klo di tempat2 land iang gue tau, selama di amrik ini gue ngga pernah liat lampu jalan yang letak na ada di tengah jalan (kayak highway nya indonesia gtuh). atap2 rumah di amrik khan jarang banget khan yang pakeg genteng, nah di nola, hampir setiap rumah thu atap nya dari genteng, abis itu desain nya sama lagi kayak genteng2 di indo, gue sama nate(temen gue dari palembang) heboh sendiri gituh di van, jerit2 bilang ' ITS JUST LIKE INDONESIA !!', abis gtuh qta dinner di 'hare kresna' hindu temple gituh khan, nah dikasih Bengali meal dhe qta, n lagi2 'This food tastes so asian !!', bntuk makan nya sih ngga ada indonesia2 gtuh, tapi rasanya, bumbunya, nasi nya, haduhhh, bener2 dhe !. one thing disana, gue baru nyadar kalo banyag banget orang Hippies gtuh, tau khan hippies, orang2 iang dandan na tabrak sana tabrak sini yang penting kelihatan nya kerend. pada makeg make up nyeleneh lah, baju halloween di gunting2 trus dipakeg pakaian sehari2 lah, style mereka terlalu complicated to explain, but i do really like that kind of style though ! XD. abis dinner qta diajakin ke temple na gtuh khan(sebenernya mau nulis lebih lanjut soal gimana gama hindu, tapi gue riskan ntar jadi nya gue malah kena kasus, so samp dsini dulu dhe. ) ..

bersambung ke part twooo iahhh ! XD

The hippie subculture was originally a youth movement that arose in the United States during the mid-1960s, swiftly spreading to other countries around the world. The etymology of the term 'hippie' is from hipster, and was initially used to describe beatniks who had moved into New York City's Greenwich Village and San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district. These people inherited the countercultural values of the Beat Generation, created their own communities, listened to psychedelic rock, embraced the sexual revolution, and used drugs such as marijuana and LSD to explore alternative states of consciousness.

In January 1967, the Human Be-In in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco popularized hippie culture, leading to the legendary Summer of Love on the West Coast of the United States, and the 1969 Woodstock Festival on the East Coast. Hippies in Mexico, known as jipitecas, formed La Onda Chicana and gathered at Avándaro, while in New Zealand, nomadic housetruckers practiced alternative lifestyles and promoted sustainable energy at Nambassa. In the United Kingdom, mobile "peace convoys" of New age travellers made summer pilgrimages to free music festivals at Stonehenge. In Australia hippies gathered at Nimbin for the 1973 Aquarius Festival and the annual Cannabis Law Reform Rally or MardiGrass. In Chile, "Festival Piedra Roja" was held in 1970 (following Woodstock's success), and was the major hippie event in that country.

Hippie fashions and values had a major effect on culture, influencing popular music, television, film, literature, and the arts. Since the widespread movement in the 1960s, many aspects of hippie culture have been assimilated by mainstream society. The religious and cultural diversity espoused by the hippies has gained widespread acceptance, and Eastern philosophy and spiritual concepts have reached a wide audience. The hippie legacy can be observed in contemporary culture in myriad forms — from health food, to music festivals, to contemporary sexual mores, and even to the cyberspace revolution. (from Wikipedia)
